About the Author

Wisconsin native Charles Evenson is a first-time children’s book author.  Good Night, Door County grew out his many experiences as a life-long visitor to Door County.   He is member of two organizations there: the Ridges Sanctuary and Friends of Toft Point.  

He formerly served as marketing director for the Wisconsin 
Department of Financial Institutions and as a marketing specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Among his interests are all collegiate and professional Wisconsin-related sports and landscape gardening, especially with miniature and dwarf conifers.   Now retired, Charles lives in Madison with his wife, Lois.
